While cinema halls were closed amid Covid 19 lockdown, we must thank digital content creators who kept us entertained through funny videos. From striking new controversies to writing new chapters in history, they did it all just live up to the expectations of their fans and followers. Here is a quick recap of top individual YouTubers and an analysis of their performance this year –

This year belongs to CarryMinati! Indeed he had lots of ups and downs but he fought like a warrior and eventually declared the undisputed winner. He not only struck the controversy but also created a new record of video with the most likes in the non-music category. The video was heading towards becoming the most viewed video in the same category by any Indian individual YouTuber but unfortunately, the video was taken by YouTube. But he works hard and has a unique talent of creating roasting videos which is influencing youth to join the YouTube community.
He created 12 videos out of which the most successful video was taken down. Among available videos on his channel, his ‘Yalgaar’ has whopping 195 million views. After YouTube vs TikTok controversy, he shared an emotional video that has over 69 million views. Apart from these his five videos cross the 30 million mark this year. At the end, all I would say is “action speaks louder than the words”.

From Aakhri Safar to Sasta Biig Boss Ashish Chanchlani kept his fans and followers entertained through the year. Recently, he ended the year 2020 on a trending note through a special video titled ‘If 2020 Was A Person’ which was uploaded on his friend Kunal Chhabria’s channel and it’s currently trending at the number 1 spot with 9.1 million views in just two days.
This year he marked his debut in the 20 million club and went on to become one of the most popular individual YouTubers in India. Overall he created 13 videos in 2020 three videos crossed the 40 million mark and three videos crossed the 30 million mark in terms of viewership. His most-watched video of the year is ‘Office Exam aur Vaccine; which has 44 million views at the time of filing this report.

Versatile actor and one of the most successful individual YouTubers – Amit Bhadana ended the year 2019 with a collaboration with Khiladi Akshay Kumar and began 2020 with Ajay Devgan. He is among those who are very passionate about creating content for social media platforms and the way he delivers back to back entertaining videos leave no doubt about his hard work and dedication.
Bhadana wanted to welcome 2021 with the track ‘Aatmvishvas’ with Badshah but due to unavoidable circumstances, he had to postpone the release of the song and applied his fans through an emotional video message. Talking about his work this year, he has created 18 videos in 2020 out of which ‘Class Ki Topper Aur Last Bencher’ is the most-watched with 30 million views. Apart from these, videos like ‘Kisse Behan Bhai Ke’, ‘Jaanu Ka Janamdin’ and Job Interview Gone Wrong’ also received good support from fans and followers.

BB Ki Vines fame Bhuvan Bam is hilarious. People love what he does and he makes everybody laugh through his amazing comic timing. However, his fans and followers also praise his voice and this year he surprised everyone by releasing another music videos – ‘Heer Ranjha’ which has 17 million views.
Overall he has created 12 videos this year out of which Angry MasterJi is the most successful with over 35 million views as of now. Other comedy videos like ‘Valentine Shopping’, ‘Kyun Sameer Kyun?’, ‘Latika’ and ‘Lockdown Queen’ were among the most viewed views from BB Ki Vines. This year he won the battle against Covid 19 and currently busy with his home production film Dhindhora. He also became the first social media influencer to be appointed brand ambassador of fashion brand Myntra.

In 2019 Harsh Beniwal marked his Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2 and this year he appeared in Alt Balaji’s web series Who’s Your Daddy? Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner Beniwal is an entertainer and has been exploring his caliber as an actor through experiments with a variety of roles on screen. This year he had created overall 11 videos out of which ‘A Day with Cringe TikToker’ turned out to be the most successful one with over 31 million views.
He recently landed himself into controversy through his latest video titled ‘A Day With Talentless Star Kid’ for taking a funny dig on star kids in Bollywood. People have criticised him as his Bollywood debut was with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions which is infamous for launching star kids and he was launched with Ananya Pandey who got trolled for winning the Filmfare award for the Best Debut Female. However, Beniwal has a massive fan following and he has a long way to go. But we can’t deny the fact that as of now he is very far behind as compared to his counterparts.
